Parent/ Guardian Code of Conduct
The Rhode Island Warriors are committed to fostering a positive, supportive, and respectful environment for all players, coaches, and families. To ensure this, we ask all parents and guardians to follow the guidelines below:
1. No Sideline Coaching
• Parents and guardians are not permitted to coach players from the sidelines during practices, games, or tournaments.
• Sideline coaching creates confusion for players and undermines the authority of our coaches.
• Please focus on providing positive encouragement and let the coaches handle instruction and strategy.
2. 24-Hour Rule for Communications
• We ask that parents and guardians wait at least 24 hours before reaching out to a coach or program director about any concerns, complaints, or inquiries.
• This cooling-off period ensures that all communication is respectful, productive, and solution-focused.
3. No Contact During Tournaments
• During tournaments or game days, parents and guardians should refrain from emailing, texting, or calling coaches or program directors with concerns or complaints.
• Please allow the tournament or event to conclude before initiating communication.
4. Respectful Behavior and Sportsmanship
• Parents and guardians must always treat players, coaches, referees, and opposing teams with respect.
• Refrain from yelling at referees, coaches, or players during games.
• Negative or disrespectful behavior may result in removal from the facility or suspension from attending future events.
5. Conflict Resolution
• If you have a concern, please follow these steps:
1. Wait 24 hours after the incident or game before reaching out.
2. Email the coach or program director with a clear, respectful explanation of your concern.
3. Allow time for the issue to be reviewed and addressed.
By adhering to these guidelines, you help us create an environment that promotes teamwork, respect, and growth for all participants. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.
Together, we can ensure the best experience for our players!
