Dennis Bellisle - Basketball Coach & Mentor
Coach Dennis Bellisle is a dedicated and passionate basketball coach with years of experience developing young athletes. Though he did not play basketball at a high level growing up, his background in football, baseball, and wrestling instilled in him a deep understanding of discipline, teamwork, and competition—qualities he now brings to the court.
Coach Bellisle currently serves as an Assistant Coach for the Exeter-West Greenwich (EWG) High School Girls Basketball Team, where he helps shape players’ skills, basketball IQ, and overall growth in the sport. He is also the Head Coach for the Rhode Island Warriors Girls 7th & 8th Grade teams (2024-2025) and previously led the RI Swarm Boys 6th Grade team (2023).
His coaching resume extends to the EWG Travel Girls program (2023/24 - 2024/25) and years of experience as a Recreational League Coach for boys from 2017 to 2023, where he helped develop fundamental skills in young athletes.Coach Bellisle is a USA Basketball Licensed Coach and holds an NFHS Level 1 Coaching Certification, including the Rhode Island Component, demonstrating his commitment to continuous education and player development.Beyond coaching, he is an Army veteran (honorably discharged), bringing leadership, discipline, and a strong work ethic to his coaching philosophy. His unique background allows him to mentor athletes both on and off the court, emphasizing hard work, resilience, and teamwork.Coach Bellisle is dedicated to helping players of all skill levels reach their full potential and fostering a positive, competitive environment where they can thrive.
